MANAGEMENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Leeward's board and management include businessmen and experienced mining exploration geologists with excellent reputations for geological exploration backed up by those with a track record of commercial and mineral management success.
Dr. Michael Marchand, Ph.D., P.Geol., Director/President
Dr. Marchand has a PhD in Geology from McMaster University. He is a registered Professional Geologist in Alberta and Vice-President and Director of Honey Badger Exploration Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange company. He is also a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, the CIM, and a director of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada. Dr. Marchand brings over thirty years of geological experience to the company.
Mr. James A. Kelly, P.Geol., P.Eng., Director
Mr. Kelly has been appointed to the positions of Director. He is a professional geologist with 50 years experience in all phases of mineral exploration, development, and production in Canada and abroad. He is familiar with Leeward’s projects and will assist the Company in moving forward with the Nithi Mountain moly project and Pistol Lake gold property.
Mr. R. J. (Jim) Milliken, Director
Mr. Milliken is currently an independent businessman. He has been involved in the investment industry for forty years. He is a former national board member of the Investment Dealers Association and Canadian Investors Protection Fund. He is also a former President of the Alberta Stock Exchange, a former President and Chief Executive of Sanyo Securities Canada and a former associate of Lomax Group, a merger and acquisition financial advisory firm in Calgary. He is currently a director of Cybersurf Corp., and Corona Gold Corporation (each of which are listed on the TSX Exchange).
Robin E. Chisholm, B.Sc., P.Geol., Director
Robin Chisholm is a professional geologist and President of Taiga Consultants Ltd., a mineral exploration service provider based in Calgary. Robin has practised his profession since 1977 and has a wide variety of resource industry experience from early-stage exploration to resource definition in Canada and overseas, and has experience in the exploration for and evaluation of a wide variety of mineral commodities. He has a B.Sc.Hons. from Carleton University in Ottawa, is a Fellow with the Geological Association of Canada, and is a member of APEGGA of Alberta. Robin has extensive exploration exploration experience in Canada and Africa.
